Center for Documentary Studies
Susie has been teaching documentary photography at Duke University's Center for Documentary Studies since 2003. As a lecturing fellow at Duke, she teaches service learning classes that take students into the community and give them the opportunity to make a connection that goes beyond campus. Each class uses the documentary still images along with collected audio to produce a website with audio-visual slideshows. At the end of each semester, the class hosts an event to launch the website as well as a print exhibit. The prints and websites are donated to the community partners. Please enjoy the sites below!
